George Pickering, chair of Berwickshire Housing Association’s Tenant Volunteers, is pictured above handing over a cheque for £500 to teacher Laura Feeney and senior pupils at Eyemouth High School.
The money allowed the school’s senior leadership team to experience an “amazing” weekend at Abernethy Ardeonaig. The team loved the experience of working together whilst forming new skills, as well as creating better relationships with one another.
Laura Feeney said:
“We have many exciting plans this year including recognising students’ monthly achievements, fundraising for outdoor furniture and the homeless communities and also supporting mental health awareness.”
The pupils added:
“We would like to thank Berwickshire Housing Association for its support and we can’t wait to use our new skills in planning, doing and reviewing to have a successful year.”
