George Pickering, chair of Berwickshire Housing Association Tenant Volunteers, recently presented Duns Players and the Duns and District Amateur Operatic Society with a cheque for £500 from their Community Grant Scheme.
The money will help towards costs of the forthcoming joint production of ‘Oh What a Lovely War’, which is being staged to commemorate the 1918 armistice remembering the First World War and the role Duns had in it.
