🌟 Say hello to Fiona – one of our fantastic BeFriend volunteers! 🌟 Fiona has been part of the BHA community as a customer for over 22 years, and just last year, she decided to join BHA BeFriend – a service bringing friendship and support to people aged 65 and over living in Berwickshire and Kelso. For the past six months, she’s been visiting a gentleman in Kelso. They enjoy a good blether over a cuppa, share stories, and always manage a laugh or two. ☕😊 Fiona says it feels like they’ve known each other for ages – and it’s clear her visits mean the world to him. They’ve built a real friendship, and those little chats have a big impact on his wellbeing and sense of connection with his community. 💬 “It’s honestly a pleasure – I get just as much out of it as he does!” Want to give back to your community? We’d love more friendly faces to join our volunteer team!
