Our 2026-27 Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme is now underway. These electrical safety checks are an important part of keeping your home safe, and we want to explain what to expect.
What’s happening?
Our contractor, MP Group, will be carrying out electrical safety inspections in our homes as part of this year’s safety and compliance programme.
If your home is part of this programme, we will write to you to let you know. MP Group will then contact you directly to arrange an appointment time that works for you.
Why are EICRs important?
EICRs are essential safety checks that make sure the electrical systems in your home, including wiring, sockets and consumer units, are safe to use. These inspections are carried out at least once every 5 years.
Over time, electrical installations can develop faults that may not be immediately visible but could lead to serious risks such as electric shocks, fires, or damage to appliances.
By carrying out regular EICR inspections, we can:
- Identify potential issues early before they become dangerous
- Carry out any necessary repairs or upgrades promptly
- Make sure your home meets current safety standards and regulations
These checks are a vital part of keeping your home safe for you and your family.
