Freedom of information

Freedom of information

Following an order made by the Scottish Parliament in April 2019, registered social landlords (and their subsidiaries) are now subject to freedom of information legislation and, for the purpose of freedom of information, are deemed to be a Scottish public authority. This came into effect on 11 November 2019.

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 provide you with a right of access to recorded information, and to environmental information, held by public authorities.

Model Publication Scheme

We have adopted the Model Publication Scheme 2018 which has been produced and approved by the Scottish Information Commissioner.
The Model Pulication Scheme is a standard framework for Scottish public authorities to publish the information they hold. By adopting the Model Publication Scheme, we are commit to:

  • Publishing, as a minimum, specified types of information, through our Guide to Information. This sets out how you can access the information we publish under the Model Publication Scheme.
  • Ensuring all our published information meets the six Model Publication Scheme principles.

The guide to information is not intended to be a complete list of the information we hold. Anyone can submit a request to us for information that is not listed within the guide below.
