Temporary Contract – Up to May 2020
Location: Based in Duns
Hours: 15 hours per week

Salary : £8,210.57 (FTE £19,158.00)

BHA BeFriend is a project set up to support older people living in Berwickshire and Kelso.  It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
BeFriend volunteers visit older people who are lonely and isolated.  They provide someone to chat to, someone to go out for a coffee with or for a walk around the park.  As well as one to one befriending there are also befriending groups.
We are now seeking a Project Worker who will provide support to the Group Worker, provide short-term support to some of our service users, as well as performing some administrative duties.
You should hold a recent MiDAS certificate or be willing to undertake the relevant training, have at least one year’s experience of general office administration, and hold a full driving licence and be able to provide own transport when required. Preferably, you should also have experience of working with older and/or vulnerable people.
The role is funded to May 2020 but, funding allowing, may be extended to May 2021.
