Cyclical Maintenance Planned Improvements
Following a study in 2000 were we asked our tenants what improvement they thought we needed to make to our properties. We setup two major improvement programmes to substantially upgrade our properties. These programmes are known as:
- Standard Improvement Programme - The aim of this programme is upgrade all sub-standard kitchens, bathrooms and electrical installations. In 2006 we renewed 114 kitchens, bathrooms and electrics.
- Heating Replacement Programme -The aim of this programme is to replace inefficient and obsolete heating systems. In 2006 we replaced 44 heating systems.
In 2006 we also completed 94 adaptations to make houses more suitable for tenants with disabilities. We also carry out regular inspections, in line with new legislation, of all our properties with asbestos-containing materials.
